| E. Wayne Ridgeway, Jr.
Wayne joined the Burriss Law Firm after spending almost seven years as a defense lawyer with well respected statewide defense firm. He began the practice of law after finishing law school at the University of South Carolina. He also completed his undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina where he received a Bachelor of Science from the College of Applied Professional Sciences.
Wayne's practice areas include transportation, premises liability, products liability, construction defects and general auto negligence cases. He is admitted to practice law in both Federal and State Courts and has successfully tried cases in both. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, American Bar Association, Richland County Bar Association and is certified by the Board of Arbitrator and Mediator Certification as a Circuit Court Arbitrator.
While in law school, Wayne was selected to write for the Trial Advocacy Journal and was the winner of the Henry Upson Sims Moot Court Board's Robert B. Donworth Moot Court Competition. He also clerked for the South Carolina Attorney General and managed a statewide political campaign.
Wayne is a native of Orangeburg, South Carolina, and is married to Marshall Clay Ridgeway, formerly of Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Wayne and Marshall have three children and are active members of Shandon Baptist Church where Wayne serves as the Director of their Sunday School Department. His hobbies include golf, South Carolina Gamecock football, traveling and spending time with his children.
